Branding Workshops Scheduled

After conducting six focus groups in August 2007, Travel Montana is moving ahead with plans for an in-state "Branding Roadshow." The Branding Roadshow will consist of four-hour workshops in seven cities across the state. 
 


New Developments from MTTA

Montana Tribal Tourism Alliance (MTTA) and Travel Montana’s Tourism Development and Education Program are partnering on a series of tourism education workshops for each of the state’s seven reservations and the development and distribution of a Montana Indian Country guidebook and website.


Montana Listed Among Top ABA Events

The American Bus Association (ABA) announced that the National Folk Festival in Butte has been designated as one of the Top 100 Events in North America for 2008 by an elite tourism industry selection committee.


Montana Film Office Taps New Market

The Montana Film Office tapped a new market with their recent sponsorship of the Independent Feature Project (IFP) in New York City, which occurred September 16 – 21, 2007.


New Transit System in Glacier Park a Success

In July 2007, Glacier National Park unveiled a new transit system that allowed visitors to park their cars and take a shuttle to one of 18 stops in Glacier. The new system decreased traffic on the Going-to-the-Sun Road by 20 percent in its inaugural year.


SEGP Applications Available

The application deadline for the Special Events Grant Program (SEGP) is December 7, 2007. Applications are now available online.
