Montana Governor's Conference
on Tourism and Recreation
Welcome to the Montana Governor's Conference on Tourism and Recreation Website.
Thanks to everyone who attended the 2008 conference in West Yellowstone, April 17-18. We’ve heard many good comments and received some great suggestions for next year’s conference.
We’ll start developing the 2009 agenda and events in Fall 2008. Until then, this site’s pages are a combination of looking ahead to 2009 and archives of what happened at the 2008 conference:
- a conference agenda
- registration forms and information
- conference sponsor and exhibitor listings
- information about conference lodging, special activities, and events happening in and around the conference host community
- 2008 Conference Presentations as well as archives from past conferences
- 2008 Tourism Award Recipients and archives of past recipients.
The annual conference is Montana’s tourism and recreation partners opportunity to get together for 2 days of education, training, discussion, networking, and entertainment. It is all focused on helping the partners help themselves be successful in their tourism and recreation-related endeavors. Typically, 400 to 450 people participate in the conference. Montana's tourism industry involves private sector travel service providers, property owners (hotels, motels, guest ranches, B&Bs, resorts), public and private sector attraction managers and staff, outfitters/guides, federal and state agency land managers, state, regional, community and tribal tourism developers and businesses, promoters and interested individuals. You should be there too!
